Waves were created.
When we dip our fingers slower the wave lengths are longer.
Moving closer to an object- wave length decreases. Moving farther away from an object- wave length increases.
Conclusion
- The waves in front of the finger get shorter.
- The waves behind the finger get longer.
- When there is an object blocking the waves they get shorter because they are not strong enough to push through the object. They just bounce back to where they started.
- If an object giving off light is moving towards me, then the wave lengths being produced by the object would decrease. This means the frequency would increase as well. This is blue light. It is the opposite when it is moving away from me.
