The Big Bang
Reading Notes:
- All galaxies originated from one huge mass of densely packed matter
- The huge mass exploded with a "Big Bang" spreading matter out all through the universe.
- The spreading matter grouped together to form the stars and galaxies that we have today
- The galaxies even today are moving farther and farther from one another
- All galaxies beyond the local group indicate a red shift in their light
Analysis
- They are moving away from each other.
- They use spectroscopes to determine if there is red shift or blue shift.
- Yes because you can clearly see that points A, B, C, and D are moving away from each other just like the celestial bodies inn space. But galaxies don't stretch out like they did on the balloon.
